How much per day does it cost to cover a person staying at Crossroads Shelter?
It costs approximately $45 per day to cover a single person. This includes bed space, meals, laundry, supplies and, most importantly, case management and referral services.

What can I donate to the shelter?
Our most urgent need is for financial gifts to cover operating costs. Although we receive a portion of our budget through grants, the bulk of our funding is through local individual gifts from folks like you.
We also need household and grocery items such as toilet paper, laundry detergent, coffee, sugar, eggs, milk, meat and other fresh foods.

What is the process for appeal of a staff decision?
Appeals are to be made in writing to the Executive Director, Patrica Helton.
Appeals should be mailed to PO Box 117 Wytheville, VA. The appeal letter may be given to the CRS staff person on duty to be forwarded to the Executive Director.
The appeal letter must include your name and a return address or phone number where you can be reached.
